Merge Records

Merge Records is an independent American label, premiered in 1989 by Laura Ballance and Mac McCaughan in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He is now based in Durham, in the same state. The label was originally intended to produce Superchunk, the group of founders, then has now diversified and counts among its stable various artists or groups such as: Lou Barlow, Arcade Fire, Pram, Lambchop, Ex Hex, Caribou, The Buzzcocks, Bob Mold & Sugar, Escape-Ism (…)
